Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust â€‹

YGAM is an award-winning education charity committed to a social purpose to inform, educate, and safeguard future generations against gaming and gambling harms. Through a portfolio of specialist programmes, YGAM provides evidence-led harm prevention training and resources to a variety of groups who have care or influence of young people. The programmes equip delegates with the knowledge, understanding, and confidence to deliver awareness and safeguarding messages to young people. The Preventing Gambling Harms in Diverse Communities programme has been launched in Greater London and the Home Counties to raise awareness and address the issue of gambling harm disproportionately affecting young people from ethnic minority populations. The programme delivers FREE workshops to community leaders, faith leaders, youth workers and groups of young people. The content focuses on an understanding of socio-cultural and religious contexts on shame and stigma relating to gambling harms. The training, which can be delivered online or in person, is evidence-led and independently evaluated. Get in touch today to find out more about workshops for community leaders or young people at training@ygam.org
